Wendy’s Is Launching a New Gourmet Burger & Fries Today

Wendy’s has recently launched an innovative upgrade to its menu, focusing on two key items: a gourmet burger and revamped fries. The highlight of this launch is the new french fries, designed to stay crispy and hot, particularly for drive-thru and delivery orders.

These fries represent a significant development in fast food technology. Wendy’s has engineered the fries to maintain their heat and crunch for an extended period, between 15 to 30 minutes after purchase.

This was achieved by designing one side of the fry to be thicker for better heat retention, while the other side is thinner to enhance crispiness. Additionally, Wendy’s added a “whisper” of coating to increase the crispiness without compromising the fluffy texture inside, akin to a baked potato.
